Harriet
Bryan-Harris
Pastor
Harriet was appointed
to Salem in June 2007. Harriet and husband, DeWain,
came to us from Erin, Tennessee. Raised in Giles
County, Tennessee, Harriet has also served in
Raleigh, North Carolina. She earned a B.A. from
the University of Mississippi and a Master’s in
Divinity from Duke University. Harriet also earned
a diploma in divinity from the University of Saint
Andrews in Scotland as a Rotary Club Ambassadorial
Scholar.
Myranel
Bryant
Youth Director
Myranel has been a member
of Salem United Methodist her whole life, she
taught for 17 years, she has served in youth ministry
for 38 years, and is the founder of Salem’s youth
mission Saints Alive! Along with her husband Mike,
who serves as director of missions for the church,
she enjoys mission work and serves the Lord through
missions and the church youth program.
Patti
Tankersley
Choir Director
Patti has been a
member of Salem for about 40 years, but has
attended the church since birth. Patti began
serving as choir director in her teens, and
did so for about 17 years. Along with her
husband, Glenn, and several children, she
has been an active participant in worship
ever since, serving as accompanist for about
10 years. In 2008, Patti again took the role
of Choir Director at Salem, and enjoys serving
the Lord though music in ministry.
Deborah
Morris
Nursery Coordinator
Deborah has been a
member of Salem United Methodist Church for
35 years. She has volunteered
to keep the church nursery for about 30 years,
and has kept a small daycare in her home for
nearly 28 years. Deborah loves children and
chooses to serve the Lord in a capacity that
allows her to care for them. Deborah lives in
Clarksville along with her husband, two sons,
their wives and four grandchildren.
Teresa
Manzella
Administrative Assistant
Teresa has worked
for Salem since July 2007. Coming to us from
the medical profession, she served in administrative
roles for nearly 15 years. Teresa was born and
raised in Clarksville, and lives here now with
her husband of 14 years, Nick, and two children,
Sarah and Ethan.
Winston
Newberry
Custodian
Winston and his family
became members of Salem United Methodist Church
42 years ago while he was serving in Vietnam.
He has cared for Salem as custodian for 15 years,
and serves God through this act of kindness. Winston
attends Salem with his wife, Linda, daughter,
Jennifer, and son. His family, at Salem, also
includes his daughter-in-law and several grandchildren.
