Salem
United Methodist Church has a heart for missions,
locally, nationally and internationally. The Salem
Missions team is led by Mike and Myranel Bryant.
The Missions Team participates in numerous missions
opportunities throughout the year.

Local
Missions:
F.U.E.L.
The F.U.E.L. program is a food subsidization program
that places food directly in the back packs of
children who may not eat between lunch on Friday
and breakfast on Monday.

Urban
Ministries
Urban Ministries is a program that provides direct
assistance to those who face societal problems
of hunger, homelessness, poverty, and violence.
Urban Ministries operates an emergency financial
assistance program, publishes the Clarksville
Community Services Directory, and operates a 24-hour
domestic violence shelter. Urban Ministries is
located at 1300 Madison St. Clarksville, TN 37040.

Loaves
and Fishes
Loaves and Fishes is a non-profit association
organized to help feed the hungry of the Clarksville
TN area. Loaves and Fishes serves an average of
150-200 meals daily. Loaves and Fishes is located
at 215 Foster St. Clarksville, TN 37040. For more

Holiday
Food Baskets
Every year Salem donates food baskets for families
in need during the Thanksgiving and Christmas
holidays. The food basket program is led by Morris
and Diane Stevens.
SAINTS
ALIVE! / SERVANT FORCE!
SAINTS ALIVE! is a week long, community missions
project for youth in 9th-12th grades. Saints Alive
serves families in need by building wheelchair
ramps, porches, roofing, painting, sheetrock,
and other home repairs. Youth pay $200 to come
take part in SAINTS ALIVE! and help families in
need. There are also programs for the youth nightly,
which include a speaker and worship. Meals and
lodging are provided for the youth as part of
the cost. SAINTS ALIVE! is traditionally held
during the last week of June. For more information

SERVANT
FORCE! is a weekend, community missions project
for youth in 6th-8th grades. Like SAINTS ALIVE!,
SERVANT FORCE! provides much needed home repairs
for the community, as well as programs, food,
and lodging for the youth. For more information

National:
Salem
United Methodist participates in 1-2 national
missions per year. The national missions mainly
focus on areas where there has been a natural
disaster or poverty. the most recent mission was
to aid in rebuilding projects for Hurricane Katrina
victims.
The National Missions team participates in an
Appalatian Mission Project each year and is currently
planning a trip to aid victims of recent tornadoes.
International:
The
International Missions team is currently planning
a mission trip to Guatemala March 7th-21st to
build a home for a family there.
